Running pressures for 410a. The manual states that the design pressure should be 255/465 psi. The running pressure is about 200 on the fluid line and 150 on the exhaust line. This is what my installer feels like a good pressure. However, the company that sold me the system said that the pressure should be ~100psi on either line.

This screenshot of the Ref Tools app shows the vapor line pressure of R410A at saturation at 39°F. Notice how the slider has been set to DEW point (inside the orange box). Before we even hook up our gauges/probes, we know the system operating pressures should be within +/- 10 PSI of: Liquid Pressure: 356.5 PSIG. Vapor Pressure: 116.1 PSIG

Running pressures for 410a. During air conditioning mode, the pressure on the vapor line of an R-410A system will be somewhere between 102 to 145 PSIG. If the system had R-22, the vapor pressure would be between 58 to 85 PSIG but these pressures will be dependent on the wet bulb temperature inside the building and the ambient temperature outside the building.

Hi - Been a while since I posted here. I am an HVAC contractor and am noticing a pattern with several R-410A compressors in (less than one year old) heat pump systems we've installed. After a cold night, I'll get a call from someone saying their outside unit is noisey and system is not heating. What I see when I arrive is the compressor is running, but not pumping as pressures are equalized. This is a highly rated tank that can handle the high pressures of 410A refrigerant.
